Diversity & Inclusion

Acknowledgement

We proudly acknowledge Victoria’s First Nations peoples and their ongoing strength in practising the world’s oldest living culture. We acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the lands and waters on which we live and work and pay our respect to their Elders past and present.

Victoria’s Aboriginal communities continue to strengthen and grow with the ongoing practice of language, lore and cultural knowledge. We recognise the contribution of Aboriginal people and communities to Victorian life and how this continues to enrich our society more broadly. We acknowledge the contributions of generations of Aboriginal leaders who have come before us, who have fought tirelessly for the rights of their people and communities.

Our commitment

As our community changes, Triple Zero Victoria is changing to reflect the diverse range of people we serve in Victoria. We are committed to developing a diverse workforce and providing work conditions that are safe, flexible, accessible, equitable and inclusive. We care deeply about our people – just like our people care about the community they serve.

Our broad mission at Triple Zero Victoria is to be inclusive. We’re looking at pragmatic initiatives to help achieve effective, meaningful change – and have a positive impact on our team members.

This includes the application of different ‘lenses’ to our work and organisation: human rights, gender equality, gender-based violence, accessibility and equality for marginalised people.

Our Diversity & Inclusion framework reflects acknowledgment of people from differing backgrounds: First Nations people, those with various abilities or disabilities, the transgender and gender diverse, LGBTIQ+, people with neurodiversity, and those of various ages, race, ethnicity, and religion.

Our goals

We are identifying the factors surrounding inclusion. We want to eliminate the barriers and cultural patterns that have prevented all our team members from participating fully and feeling safe to be their authentic selves at work.

Triple Zero Victoria genuinely aims to provide a safe and equitable work environment where we can:
•    contribute our personal best in every encounter
•    contribute our perspectives and talents to improve our organisation
•    feel valued and have a sense of belonging
•    achieve our potential.
